Configure Artifactory

Artifactory configuration lets Kerrigan list and download Modalix nightly and stable firmware image channels.

Required Values

In the dashboard:

  1. Sign in as a System Admin.
  2. Open System.
  3. Select Artifactory.
  4. Enter the Artifactory base URL.
  5. Enter a personal access token.
  6. Choose whether to verify SSL.
  7. Save.

The default base URL is:

https://artifacts.eng.sima.ai:443/artifactory

The token is write-only in the UI. After saving, Kerrigan reports whether a token is configured but does not echo the token back to the browser.

API

GET /v1/system-images/artifactory
PUT /v1/system-images/artifactory

Example payload:

{
"base_url": "https://artifacts.eng.sima.ai:443/artifactory",
"token": "<personal-access-token>",
"verify_ssl": true
}

How It Is Used

Artifactory-backed system image channels call Artifactory APIs to list available versions and download the selected image files into KERRIGAN_IMAGE_STORE_PATH. Kerrigan retries sync failures a few times before surfacing the error to the operator.

If channel sync fails:

  • confirm the base URL does not include a duplicate path segment
  • confirm the token can read the relevant Modalix repositories
  • keep SSL verification enabled unless the lab uses an internal certificate path that is not trusted by the Kerrigan host
  • check outbound connectivity from the Kerrigan host
