Install a Prebuilt Kerrigan Appliance

A prebuilt Kerrigan appliance is plug-and-play. Kerrigan and the internal DevKits arrive installed, attached, bootstrapped, and configured.

Connect and Start the Appliance

  1. Connect the appliance uplink interface to the corporate or lab network.
  2. Power on the appliance.
  3. For local control, open the Kerrigan dashboard using the hostname or IP address supplied with the appliance.

You do not need to install Ubuntu, Docker, sima-cli, or the Kerrigan host package. No internal DevKit network setup or bootstrap procedure is required.

Enable Remote Control

To control the appliance remotely, optionally pair it with a supported AWS environment. Once paired, a cloud application can discover the appliance and send remote control commands. The optional Kerrigan Cloud Control CLI validates and troubleshoots that integration path.

Select the environment and start pairing from the Dashboard's Cloud page, or run the following on the appliance host:

sudo kerrigan-ubuntu-stack pair start --cluster-name <cluster-name>

Both paths display an activation code and wait for backoffice approval. They can also replace an existing pairing; Kerrigan keeps the current connection active until the replacement is approved and installed.
